Wally Kowal
President & Founder
Wally founded Canadian Cloud Computing in 2009 to bring the benefits of cloud computing to Canada. After several decades working in early-stage and high-growth companies, Wally decided that it was time to build a new company from scratch.
Wally has over two decades of marketing, technology development and operations experience in technology-driven companies. He started his career at Cantel (now Rogers Wireless) in 1987 when the company had 50,000 cellular subscribers. He worked at several established and start-up carriers in Canada before moving into enterprise software and Internet security. Wally is also a lecturer in business communications at Ryerson University.
Wally has a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing with a concentration in Computer Science from Concordia University in Montreal and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
Many who know Wally and his passion for cloud computing consider him Canadian Cloud`s CTO – Chief Talking Officer.
Phil Leighton
General Manager & Partner
Phil has over 30 years of domestic and international experience in telecom and information technology industry.
He brings to Canadian Cloud extensive experience in enterprise solutions, product development, systems integration and global services operations, gained at industry leading and start-up companies around the world.
Phil has held a number of key senior management positions in public and private companies, led sizable engineering, sales and solutions integration teams, principal of his own business solutions consulting business, founded and served on several key Canadian and US industry boards and committees.
Phil is the go to person in Canadian Cloud who keeps the customers happy and the cloud humming.
